Item Description

Freedive Weight Belt (Rubber) with Quick Release

Hey Guys, My freedive belts are made by the exact same factory as the expensive brands.

They are available direct from MAKO for a lot less.

High Performance Gear – Direct From MAKO – No Dive Shop Markup!”

Dive Safe,
Dano

The MAKO Spearguns Rubber Freedive Weight Belt is depth compensating and allows for expansion while breathing up at the surface.

The quick release buckle allows for fast ditching.

One size fits all. Pre drilled holes allow for custom trimming to divers desired required length.

Rubber freedive weight belts accept all standard lead weights. However, with some vinyl coated weights, the slit is not wide enough to accept a rubber freedive weight belt.

Warning: There are some freedive weight belts on the market that DO NOT have the offset quick release feature.

This means that in an emergency, when you pull (with one hand) on the hanging belt strap, the pin does not automatically release. This is very dangerous.

With our rubber freedive belt, the pin DOES release automatically by pulling on the hanging strap (one hand operation).

Compare our freedive weight belt to any other weight belt on the market. Our weight belt is by far one of the best on the market. And, be sure to compare the stretch of the belts. The belts lacking the one handed quick release feature do not stretch nearly as much as the MAKO Spearguns belt. Our rubber freedive belt includes the offset quick release feature. It has more stretch and costs less.

NOTE: Install your lead before trimming. Rubber belt is 53 inches long and can be cut to size.

MAKO FREE REPLACEMENT/SAFETY POLICY

To our valued customers:
MAKO Spearguns recognizes that diving (both freediving and SCUBA) are potentially dangerous activities. We have all heard of tragic accidents where a diver is found on the bottom while still wearing a weight belt. We hope and pray that should any of our customers find themselves in a situation where ditching a belt may be necessary, that there is no delay and the belt is dropped immediately.

In many situations a belt is recoverable, however if your MAKO Spearguns belt and lead weights or belt reel are ditched (and lost) in a diving emergency…. I will replace it free of charge.

The last thing we want is our customers considering the cost of a lost belt in an emergency. The only thing we ask is that the individual shares with us (and our friends and customers) some sort of write-up about how the situation developed and how it was resolved. That way, we can all learn and be reminded to keep safety in the forefront of our minds.

Dive safe,
Dano

the Quality is amazing, the comfort is amazing with weights on. And the most amazing part is the ease of the belt and the safety design of the belt which was key when I made the choice ,which I have no regrets. Cannot give enough credit to Mako Spearguns on the dive belt. Absolutely Amazing
