Item Description
Pole Spear Tip 3 Prong Paralyzer (with or without barbs)
The MAKO Spearguns 3 Prong Paralyzer Pole Spear Tip is the strongest paralyzer tip we offer. It is rock solid and built for big fish.
Available with or without barbs.
- The “three prong without barbs” is well known for its tight hold due to the pressure on the prongs.
- However, some guys like the “three prong with barbs” for the additional grab.
- Additionally, we offer “tip cones” for our ”three prongs without barbs” to increase holding power.
Why tip cones instead of barbs?
Many scuba divers in Florida dive with a mesh collection bag on their belt. If you are diving with a mesh collection bag, a “three prong tip with barbs” will get stuck in your mesh bag. So, a “3 prong tip without barbs (with cones)” is preferred because they do not get stuck in the mesh collection bag.
If you do not pole spear hunt with a mesh collection bag then the “three prong tip with barbs” is a good choice.
Each of the 3 prongs measure 11” long and are clustered in a brass fitting to ensure a tight grip. It connects to any Pole Spear with the standard 5/16-24tpi female thread (most common) using the optional 3” adapter shaft with 6mm thread on one end and 5/16 on the other (standard thread in 99% of pole spears on the market)
NOTE: If you do not already have a 6mm to 5/16” threaded pole spear adapter shaft, you will need one to connect the 3 Prong Paralyzer Tip to your pole spear.
