Women's Pro Fiberglass Freedive Fins with INTERCHANGEABLE BLADES

A message from Dano:
"I guarantee these fins and foot pockets to be the finest fins/foot pockets available. Before producing these fins, I met with several fin factories around the world. The factory I chose is the same factory that also makes fins and foot pockets for 2 of the most highly respected freedive gear companies in the world. It gives me great pleasure to offer such high quality fins. And because I sell direct to you the diver, I can do it for less."

Question: Does MAKO Spearguns offer smaller size foot pockets w/ high quality freedive blades for serious women freedivers?

You asked for it, ladies... And we proudly delivered.

In the past, women with smaller feet did not have access to high quality freedive fins that actually fit. After recognizing this need by demanding lady freedivers we went to work and we are pleased to announce the arrival of the MAKO "Lady Freediver" Freedive Fins.

Made for women who's feet are as small as (womens 5), the MAKO Competition Freediver foot pockets are produced using varying stiffness compounds to achieve the ultimate, in both comfort and transfer of energy and fit a wide variety of bent (angled) blades.

Because these foot pockets accept interchangeable blades, you can select from a wide variety of our high quality freedive blades which will take your freediving deeper than ever before.

Selecting the proper fin stiffness:

In selecting the proper fin stiffness, there are many variables to take into consideration such as a divers weight, divers strength, type of diving and conditions in which the diving will be done. The most standard method is selecting fin stiffness based on the diver's weight and strength.

Because a softer blade is rapidly becoming the preferred blade among freedivers, our soft blades are by far the most popular. For very strong ladies, we also carry a medium.

SOFT blades are recommended for small to medium size divers and are clearly the most popular. Any diver who does not dive frequently also like these blades.

MEDIUM blades are for divers with strong legs.

Blade Choices (soft and medium):

MAKO Pro Fiberglass "Black"
MAKO Pro Fiberglass "3D Blue Camo"
MAKO Pro Fiberglass "3D Reef Camo"

Available in small sizes for women:
Womens 6-7 (mens 4-5)
Womens 8-9 (mens 6-7)

Note: If you have any questions regarding size, blade length or blade stiffness selection, please feel free to call us. We are happy to help.

Our fins are sold by the pair. If you ever loose a fin, MAKO will sell just one fin. Being so heavily invested in unmatched customer service, we are one of the only companies that offer this.

Short Rail vs Long (Standard) Rail Foot Pockets.

Choosing between short and standard tendon pockets depends on the specific needs and preferences of the diver.

SHORT TENDON FOOT POCKETS are ideal for freedivers and spearfishermen who prioritize agility, maneuverability, and efficiency.  The reduced tendon length results in a lighter foot pocket and enhances the performance of whatever blade is selected.  Note that this pocket is compatible with all our blades EXCEPT polymer fin blades.

Both the short and long tendon pockets do not require gluing.  This makes it practical for a diver to easily interchange between different MAKO pockets/blades.  Some other manufacturers require gluing, especially for short tendon pockets

STANDARD LONG TENDON FOOT POCKETS are best suited for divers who need more stability, support, and power. The longer tendon helps protect the blade from damage and abuse should contact be made with rocks or barnacles in the surf or very rough water.  The longer tendons may be advantageous when fighting a large fish since they provide additional rigidity and help to limit excess blade flex under extreme conditions.  Scuba divers who spend most of their time close to the bottom may also prefer standard pockets.

Super lightweight! I got the small. Perfect for me being 5”3, roughly 115 lbs. can go deeper and further and expend less energy.

    Love them! Good fit!

The guys at Mako are great with communicating! I had a few questions on what size to purchase for foot pockets. I wear a women’s 8.5-9 & don’t like to wear booties with fins. So the women’s 8-9 /men’s 6-7 is what I ordered & they absolutely fit great!!! I also got medium stiffness because I like the workout. I use them for my job out in Kona, guiding Reef snorkel trips off boats & pulling guests on rafts for the night time Manta swims out here in Hawaii. So I needed a solid pair of fins! Really nice piece of gear & highly recommend! Best part is how affordable they are. Mahalo Mako!
