    Float line and others

Posted by Mel luu on Mar 29th 2018

I live in Hawaii, where spearfishing is part of our lives and our culture. There is many dive shops here, but I been buying products from Mako for years. Each product I bought never let me down. They have good quality , good prices along with good service from Dano and the crew. I bought fiberGlass fins , pure carbon fins, wetsuits and others. There is times where we are far out in the ocean and the last thing you want to worry about is your gear. Mako gives me the confidence in being out there without the worry and to just be able to enjoy the beautiful ocean and spearing some dinner(hopefully). The float line I recently bought ,is another great product . Clips and swivel are on both ends and is heavy duty. Line itself seems very dependable and strong. I use it to tie to my buoy or on kayak dives to anchor off my kayak. Only thing I wish is there was no shipping fee to Hawaii lol.

    Nice line with beefy clips

Posted by Tom B. on Feb 13th 2018

This line is slightly larger in diameter than my Riffe 80' which after many shark bites stopped floating. I cheaped out and went with nylon float line but it was always knotting up. This feels real nice and all the connection hardware in sized up from what Riffe used. Happy with purchase 9 of 10.

Tracks easily for low drag. Nice connections. Really like the D shackle for my break away.

    I recently rec...

I recently received my new 75ft floating line from Mako, which looks very professionally made. The main feature that I like the most is that there is a small horseshoe shaped clamp that allows me to remove the Tuna Clip on one end of the float line. Having the small U shaped clamp is a much better way to clip onto the break away shaft line on the gun instead of the heavy tuna clip. Having said that if I want the option to use an attached shaft on the gun then I can use the tuna clip to attach the float line at the rear of the gun. Great idea Mako!
