Item Description

Spear Cones

Ensure maximum penetration with the MAKO Spearguns Spear Cones.

The MAKO Spearguns Spear Cones maximize the spear’s penetration into your prey by reducing the friction caused by the flopper.

This increased penetration results in a much stronger hold as your flopper engages deeper into the fish.

That means more BIG fish landed!

Available in 3 sizes:

  • 7.0mm spears
  • 7.5mm spears
  • 8.0mm spears

Installation instructions:

  1. Clean Spear Cones and spear to eliminate any grease
  2. Apply 2 part epoxy just above flopper and inside Spear Cone
  3. Install Spear Cone using a twisting motion
  4. Wipe off any excess epoxy
  5. NOTE: Make sure Spear Cone or epoxy does not interfere with the full range of motion of flopper
Two Part Epoxy

As an added convenience, you can also order two part epoxy here in case you don’t have any

    Spear Cones

What can be said about such a simple item that makes many a longer shot on a fish go so much more efficiently. The inefficiency of all non-shaft recessed floppers dramatically decrease penetration distance. These are a must.

    Spear Cones

Posted by ANDREW GUDE on Dec 13th 2019

One of the best items out there and so critical to shot penetration. You may have an idea, or not, but after my 35 years of spearfishing and custom tips and all, these are a GodSend! I could go on an on, but the lameness of the lack of recessed barbs in a speartip is endlessly frustrating. These are an inexpensive and efficient remedy that would otherwise cost lots of money to have a spear tip remachined. Thank you!
