How to determine the length of your speargun bands

MAKO Mean Green (Green) and Mean Green (Black)

380% stretch

  • Step #1: Measure the distance (inches) from your band slot to your sharkfin tab. (example 60”)
  • Step #2: Multiply that number x 2 (example 60” x 2 = 120”)
  • Step #3: Divide 120” x 3.8 (represents 380% stretch) =31.57” band length.

MAKO Primeline

350% stretch

  • Step #1: Measure the distance (inches) from your band slot to your sharkfin tab. (example 60”)
  • Step #2: Multiply that number x 2 (example 60” x 2 = 120”)
  • Step #3: Divide 120” x 3.5 (represents 350% stretch) =34.28” band length.

    Have rigged them up, seem good, good stretch, made them 3 inches longer than the 3.8% calculation as would be pretty stout to pull back and better a little length to trim than toos short. Will update after use.
