Item Description

SOLD BY THE FOOT: MAKO Spearguns power bands are recognized worldwide as the best speargun power bands available. They are produced for us by Primeline Industries of Akron, Ohio.

If it is not made by Primeline, it is an inferior speargun power band.

Removable Ink Logo Ensures 100% Genuine Primeline

Warning: The quality of MAKO Spearguns power bands is so high that there are reports of counterfeit MAKO Power Bands being sold. We now print our removable ink logo directly on our tubing, ensuring you receive 100% Genuine Primeline latex tubing made specifically for MAKO Spearguns.
Custom gun builders — don't worry! The MAKO logo is easily removable.
So you get the highest quality tubing without our branding.
Warning: Not all latex tubing is the same. If it is not made by Primeline it is lower quality latex. Primeline avoids the mastication process used by other manufacturers by using only liquid latex. Their continuous dip process results in a superior base product with greater tear resistance — an essential characteristic for speargun band performance. This process is far more time-consuming and labor-intensive, but the result is the best speargun power bands available.

We use only the highest quality factories and materials for all of our spearfishing and freediving gear. And because we sell direct to divers — not through dive shops — we can offer them for less.

Band Length & Spear Charts

Select your muzzle type, then find your barrel length to get the correct band length and spear size for your MAKO aluminum or carbon gun.

Easier LoadingAdd 2" to the recommended band length (less power)
More PowerSubtract 1"–2" from recommended band length (harder to load)
14.5mm vs 16mmApproximately equal power — 14.5mm small ID is slightly easier to load
WarningDo not over power your spear. Too much power causes the spear to bend and lose accuracy.
Band type: 14.5mm Small ID (9/16") or 16mm Standard ID (5/8")  |  We recommend 14.5mm small ID because it offers the best power-to-accuracy ratio.
