This neck weight works great for dynamic training. It’s very comfortable compared to other weights I’ve tried, and you can’t beat the price point for the quality.

Fits nice, less drag than my home made one

I ordered both a 1 and 2kg neckweight. The finish on them is really nice and smooth. The weights inside also aren't too stuffed in, meaning that they have some good flex so are pretty comfortable overall. However, the clips on them are quite small, and seem somewhat cheap. I would prefer them to be larger and more sturdy, which would also make them easier to find for quick release. Also, neither neckweight is actually the correct weight. I think that Mako added 1 or 2kg of lead into each, but didn't take into account the weight of the neoprene or the clips. Each is nearly 200g over their advertised weight. Not a huge problem for most people, but important information if you are really trying to fine tune your DYN buoyancy.

Save your self the hassle of assembling your own neck weight and buy this one.

I used this mostly for dynamic apnea. Really nice nylon finish just makes it a bit more user friendly than a home made one with just an inner tube.
