I bought the heavy duty band material, and it is just that! While the band that comes with the traveler spear is thinner and not near as tough (snapped on the third trip) this stuff is good to go. I use it as a back up for my Evolve pole spear, which I love, and it feels just as tough as the Evolve standard band. I trust it way more than the standard stuff that came on the 3 in 1 traveler. It's a little confusing as to which is which when just looking at them, but I emailed Mako and they talked me through it. Solid band material right here.
