Item Description

MAKO Spearguns Freedive Gear Bag

The brand new MAKO Freedive Gear Bag has been redesigned from the ground up!

  • First, we dramatically increased the strength and thickness of the material, webbing and stitching.
  • We also increased the strength of the zippers and zipper pulls.
  • We also made it more user friendly with 2 separate compartments, as follows:
    • Compartment 1: Main compartment for storing wetsuits, floats, floatlines and all other dive gear.
    • Compartment 2: Smaller side compartment is perfect for your Go Pro cameras and/or personal effects such as wallet, keys, license, etc.

The Freedive Gear Bag is water resistant and measures 41 inches long x 17 inches wide x 12 inches tall.

Helpful Hint: If traveling on an airline, or in remote areas, we recommend using both MAKO gear bags (MAKO Freedive Gear Bag and the MAKO Ballistic Mesh Dive Bag).

As shown in the photo to the right, the gear is stored in the Ballistic Mesh Dive Bag which is placed zipper size down inside the Freedive Gear Bag. Notice the wetsuit and float is facing up with the smaller and the “easier to grab” items are hidden from view.

Also note that to access the gear, the inside Ballistic Mesh Gear Bag must be pulled out in order to access the zipper, thus further reducing the possibility of theft. Sure, the mesh could be cut with a knife, but that would bring attention to the theft and it is much less likely.

Another advantage of the two bag system is that the Freedive Gear Bag can used to store personal items as well and be left in the hotel room, while the lighter, mesh bag can be used specifically for the boat or beach dives.

Our Ballistic Mesh Dive Bag fits nicely inside the Freedive Gear Bag when traveling so contents can't be seen (easily taken).

It’s a great size plus it can hold two pairs of fins which is nice and it’s super rugged and easy to clean!

    Great service!

ordered an item which was larger than I anticipated (my fault for not paying attention and reading everything as I should have). The return/refund process was quick and painless. Everyone I dealt with at Mako was beyond helpful. Thank you again Guys!

    Room for all your gear

I couldn't me more pleased with this bag. Sturdy construction and zipper and room for everything. I had this bag well packed yesterday (30L inflated float, two floatlines, Mako 2mm wetsuit, 2 masks, 2 snorkels, wieght belt with weights in main compartment. Mako fiberglass freedive fins in Fin pocket. Knife, gloves and dive socks in side pocket.)and had room for more. Well thought out design.

    Freediving gear bag

Posted by David Oneslager on Apr 24th 2017

Bag is top quality and very large. It is big enough that for a quick trip my son and I can use just one bag if we really wanted. The only thing they could do to improve on the bag is if they set it up with back pack straps for hands free carry! who knows I may just sew some on myself. This is a terrific bag.

    Excellent Gear Bag

Posted by Jeff on Oct 26th 2016

It easily holds 2 pair of fins, one pair in each side pocket, and everything else (masks, snorkels, wetsuits, gloves, socks, etc.) in the main compartment. Obviously, it is very large, but it will do the job.

    Big bag

This is a well built bag that you can put all of your freediving/spearfishing gear in. It's a large bag and I have lots of extra room in it.

    Almost perfect

This bag is great and fits two sets of freediving gear perfectly. The only change I would make is the zipper. It is a bit stiff and difficult to move.

    Awesome Gear Bag

Excellent gear bag. I passed on this bag before because I thought the price was too good and so the quality would be lacking. But a friend bought one and proved me wrong. Its a great bag very well made. I don't think you can find a better bag for the money. Thx Dano

    Great Bag!

Posted by Unknown on Aug 27th 2016

The bag is larger than I expected and very well constructed. I put 3 pairs of fins, 2 wetsuits, 3 encased masks, 2 sets of scuba regulators and still have plenty of room for more. Great value and shipping was fast!

A great bag for a great price

Posted by Nicholas Norberg on Jul 9th 2016

This bag fits just about all my gear besides a section of my 10ft gat-ku (to be expected) and the price is amazing for the quality you get and is better than most bags that cost triple the ammout! My cousin recommend this to me and I couldn't be any happier, thanks mako I will buy from you again!
