MAKO Spearguns 3 in 1 Traveler Pole Spear

Perfect for small to medium size fish and perfect for travel, the MAKO Spearguns 3 in 1 Traveler Pole Spear is three pole spears in one. Capable of taking fish weighing as much as 10 to 15 lbs, this 3 piece design measures a whopping 6' 7" and breaks down to only 27.5" long for easy storage and travel and allows you to configure the length to your specific needs.

3 piece: 6' 7" long for normal hunting conditions
2 piece: 4' 5" or 4' 11" long for close range hunting and Lion Fish hunting
1 piece: 33" inches long strictly for killing Lion Fish

MAKO uses a high strength, corrosion resistant, anodized aircraft aluminum spear which will NEVER yield painful fiberglass splinters in the hand (like some inexpensive fiberglass pole spears do when worn down). The connecting joints of the MAKO Pole Spear are supported by recessed flush screw on connectors for a smooth release.

The 3 in 1 Traveler Pole Spear includes:

Three interchangeable sections for 3 different pole spear lengths.
One 5 prong cluster (paralyzer tip) with "sure grip" barbs on each prong.
One full length MAKO "Latex Power Band" for 3 pc and 2 pc hunting.

NOTICE: The 5 prong tip has been heat treated and hardened to INCREASE STRENGTH.

This hardening process will allow for rusting. However, the rust WILL NOT affect performance!

this pole spear arrived as a christmas present and it's our first, so i don't have anything to compare it to. we haven't had a chance to use it in the wild yet, (it's first use will be on a trip in april), but i can say it's light, sturdy, well built and exactly as described in the ad. also, the shipping was speedy, with sturdy packaging.

Typical exceptional quality from MAKO. The spear fit into my checked bag, though a tight fit so I would suggest checking measurements. Mine fit on an angle but was very snug. This spear is very strong and the components fit nicely together. Be sure to get the adapter if you plan to use it with one of the other optional tips

Have not tried it yet. It seems to be of excellent quality. The barbs are quite large however and they would Destroy any of the local fish in my area so I also ordered the single tip attachment.

Great quality pole spear. Good for travel since it breaks down to fit in luggage, and still can be assembled to a 6 ft 7" pole spear, rather than some shorter alternatives. The aluminum design is much more sturdy and durable relative to fiberglass poles sold elsewhere. My buddy broke his fiberglass pole while we were spearfishing together. My Mako aluminum pole held up just fine.

I’m just getting into spear fishing and the mako pole spear is super. Shipping to Singapore was a little ex, so if I had known at the time of making my purchase, i would have bundled a few more things like a glove.

I had been looking for a good travel spear -- one that could b tossed in a mailing tube and sent ahead. Those that I had seen were unimpressive . . . The 3 in 1 is very well made; the connectors very secure; and is of a high grade aluminum. It can be easily disassembled and carried in a catch bag
