MAKO 3 in 1 Lightweight Aluminum Traveler Pole Spear

Perfect for small to medium size fish and perfect for travel, the MAKO Spearguns 3 in 1 Traveler Pole Spear is three pole spears in one. Capable of taking fish weighing as much as 10 to 15 lbs, this 3 piece design measures a whopping 6' 7" and breaks down to only 27.5" long for easy storage and travel and allows you to configure the length to your specific needs.

3 piece: 6' 7" long for normal hunting conditions
2 piece: 4' 5" or 4' 11" long for close range hunting and Lion Fish hunting
1 piece: 33" inches long strictly for killing Lion Fish

MAKO uses a high strength, corrosion resistant, anodized aircraft aluminum spear which will NEVER yield painful fiberglass splinters in the hand (like some inexpensive fiberglass pole spears do when worn down). The connecting joints of the MAKO Pole Spear are supported by recessed flush screw on connectors for a smooth release.

The 3 in 1 Traveler Pole Spear includes:

Three interchangeable sections for 3 different pole spear lengths.
One 5 prong cluster (paralyzer tip) with "sure grip" barbs on each prong.
One full length MAKO "Latex Power Band" for 3 pc and 2 pc hunting.

NOTICE: The 5 prong tip has been heat treated and hardened to INCREASE STRENGTH.

This hardening process will allow for rusting. However, the rust WILL NOT affect performance!

Amazing pole spear, and so much more

I bought this primarily for use as a lionfish spear (just using one section) - MUCH better than the fiberglass ones which, after one season, will start splintering. Great product - can't wait to try it out as a regular polespear as well.

Great Travel Spear!

I bought this about a week before Mako started offering the gorilla grip for pole spears, so I went to my local hardware store and got some o-rings and used some hockey tape to make a grip on the shaft. Pole spear worked great and i couldn't be happier with it.

Haven't actually gotten to spear anything with it yet, but there were no bad surprises when I got the product. I did try it out on the box it came in. Pole itself if sturdy and threads connecting sections of the pole seem to be very solid. Just the right weight. Latex band definitely has some power behind it. 5 Pronged Paralyzer was semi-dull when it was shipped, I will have to sharpen it before use. If you're on the edge, go for it.

I am going to Turks in a few months and can't wait it use it!! I was afraid of getting those fiberglass ones, due to many reviews saying they will break over time. I don't think I have to worry about this one. Even if I do, their customer service is top notch!!

Great Value, Powerful Spear

Bought this pole spear so i could get into spearing, its a great addition to my ETR Oceanic speargun. The 3 piece makes traveling with it really nice and also the selection of length depending on what type of fish you may be targeting. The only downside is i think it doesn't have the strength to hold a more powerful band without bending, and the fact the end is not closed so it does fill up with water. Also the 3 prong spear tip has rusted rather quickly. Overall ,for the price, this is a great setup and backup tool to have.

Highest quality pole spear I have had the pleasure of using. So far used it on fresh water trash fish locally, with excellent results. Cannot wait to try it out on a future Bahamas trip.

this pole spear is great but there is only a slight problem, the shafts slowly loosen while your using it but all you need to do is tighten it and its good. i highly recommend to by the non slip gloves so you can put some more power into your strike. All in all its a great spear.
