    Review

I dont ever leave reviews but i am very happy with my orders through mako. it was fast and simple. It was kind of confusing knowing which tips fit which spearpoles though on your site, some of the wording is not very clear on whether it fits or not, or what comes with the purchase. Thanks!

More of a customer service review. I worked with Josh on this item as I forgot to add to my cart. He was super helpful and very prompt in responding to me. Really appreciate his help!

    Adapter is nice

Posted by LDW on Aug 19th 2017

I got the adapted and the standard single flopper tip. The tip has a "short" point so you really have to drive it in to get it to catch over the flopper, but the construction and quality are both great.

    Adapter

Posted by Ryan on Jun 23rd 2017

Adapter fit well into the spear but the speartip I bought it for doesn't fully screw into the adapter which seems kind of odd since they were packaged together. Stayed sturdy after several uses just weird that it left threads exposed fully screwed in.

    Great Value

Awesome value, not for large game. There is a slight wobble in the water, but a great spear overall.

    Just what I needed

Posted by RyukyuSpirit on Mar 13th 2017

I haven't had a chance to use this yet (saving for a trip to Japan), but it makes the polespear look less clunky than with the default 5-barb paralyzer tip. Great service as always from Mako. If I had one suggestion it would be to make it more apparent that the tip threads of the original polespear are pretty unique, because you probably won't find another tip that fits it without this adapter. Of course, if I had done an ounce of research I would have figured it out, impulse buyer here--anyways, just a suggestion.
