MAKO Spearguns 3 in 1 Traveler Pole Spear

Perfect for small to medium size fish and perfect for travel, the MAKO Spearguns 3 in 1 Traveler Pole Spear is three pole spears in one. Capable of taking fish weighing as much as 10 to 15 lbs, this 3 piece design measures a whopping 6' 7" and breaks down to only 27.5" long for easy storage and travel and allows you to configure the length to your specific needs.

3 piece: 6' 7" long for normal hunting conditions
2 piece: 4' 5" or 4' 11" long for close range hunting and Lion Fish hunting
1 piece: 33" inches long strictly for killing Lion Fish

MAKO uses a high strength, corrosion resistant, anodized aircraft aluminum spear which will NEVER yield painful fiberglass splinters in the hand (like some inexpensive fiberglass pole spears do when worn down). The connecting joints of the MAKO Pole Spear are supported by recessed flush screw on connectors for a smooth release.

The 3 in 1 Traveler Pole Spear includes:

Three interchangeable sections for 3 different pole spear lengths.
One 5 prong cluster (paralyzer tip) with "sure grip" barbs on each prong.
One full length MAKO "Latex Power Band" for 3 pc and 2 pc hunting.

NOTICE: The 5 prong tip has been heat treated and hardened to INCREASE STRENGTH.

This hardening process will allow for rusting. However, the rust WILL NOT affect performance!

So I got the 3 in 1 travel spear quite awhile ago and told them I would absolutely leave a review for them after the amazing customer service I received. I feel bad that It took awhile but I finally got out with this beast. I was super surprised with how smooth this was in the water and the quality of the whole thing together. For the price this is at for a beginner in spearing I'd say this is a must buy. And not to forget customer service is a huge thing for me and these guys nailed it!

It fit inside my rod tube that was on the side of my pack. When assembled it worked perfectly in the shallow water hunting I was doing. I did add a heat shrink grip to it, which you can purchase through Mako. Great light weight travel spear that I am taking to Florida next year.

Quality is excellent! Pieces screw together smoothly and tightly. All in all far more spear than I expected for the money. Expect this spear to last for years!

Shaft comes together really well, threads are clean. I got two tips, seem to be well made. I did read reviews and used thread tape just in case to ensure it doesn’t come loose.. I didn’t get a chance to use on my first dive after purchase. Not it’s fault ;)

Traveler Pole Spear

I'm an avid snorkeler and enjoy spear fishing. This is the perfect piece of hardware to take along on my travels south. It's adjustable length is handy and I can change to more aggressive tips if I get into larger prey. Well made & well priced.

I love this thing. I've been hitting Lionfish a few times a week using two sections since the day after it arrived. I think it attracts fish.. even an annoying Trigger swam up to check out the tip ;-) Can't wait for Hogfish season to open.

Bought this to take to Baja to relive my boyhood adventures. Haven't tried it yet but it's nicely machined, sturdy, and compact when disassembled. I'd recommend it as a simple spear for smaller fish, the barbed spear heads are a plus.
