Tapering Band Ends

In your Mako Attack Pack Tool Kit you will need:

  • B) Food grade silicone
  • D) Pliers

You will also need:
  • I) American Made Latex Tubing (16mm, or 20mm)
  • J) Nail cut to 2" long
  • K) Grinder

Tapering your band ends is done by some spearos to reduce the bulk at the band ends. Although not required, it does provide a finished look.

STEP 1
Apply food grade silicone to nail and insert into tubing. If an increased taper is desired, the head of the nail can be removed prior to inserting.

STEP 2
Hold tube end to about 45 degrees and rotate while using the nail head as a guide to prevent over grinding.

STEP 3
Remove nail and repeat on opposite end of tubing.
